Forum orders Rs 13k payout for cockroach in coffee

A district consumer forum has ordered Coffee Day Global to pay a compensation of Rs 13,000 to two Navi Mumbai residents after one of them found a cockroach in her cold coffee. The patrons had paid Rs 224 for the coffee and some eatables. The forum held that the company was negligent in maintaining basic hygiene standards and had to compensate the patrons for it. ​
